What you are actually buying

The X-Stage Lite Pro (X-Pole's 2025 'X-Stage Pro' release, SKU PST04LT) takes the X-LOCK static/spin mechanism from X-Pole's pressure-mounted XPERT Pro line and puts it on the freestanding stage. To change from static to spinning you lift and twist the X-LOCK — no tool, no disassembly. It runs on the lighter Lite base architecture: 219 lbs all in, a 71 lb base, a 5 ft podium that sits roughly 8 inches lower to the ground than the standard X-Stage, and new Quick-Set stabilising feet.

Is this the right pole for you?

Performers and instructors who switch between static and spin inside a single routine and are tired of stopping to unscrew a pole. It is also the easiest stage in the range to move: 4 bespoke carry cases, a built-in handle and two wheels on the base case. Existing X-Stage owners do not have to rebuy — X-Pole sells a PRO upgrade kit that retrofits X-LOCK to the stage they already own.

Before you spend the money

Do I need to drill into my ceiling for the X-Pole X-Stage Lite Pro?
No. The X-Pole X-Stage Lite Pro is freestanding — it stands on its own base and never touches your ceiling. That makes it the right choice for rentals, apartments, garden rooms and anywhere you cannot make a permanent fixing.
Should I get 40mm or 45mm?
45mm is the far more common choice and is what most buyers pick — the extra diameter gives more surface for leg and body grips, which suits most people learning at home. 40mm suits smaller hands and anyone who grips mainly with the hands. If you train at a studio, match whatever they use so your grip transfers.
Which finish should I choose?
Chrome and stainless steel are the two that most buyers choose. Chrome gives the most grip and is the studio standard, but some people react to the nickel in it. Stainless steel is the hypoallergenic alternative with slightly less grip. Powder coat and silicone give much more grip for clothed skin and are used for wear-and-tear-free training, but they are harder work for skin grips. Brass is warmer and grippier in humid rooms.
What is the weight limit?
330 lb (149 kg). That is a tested static rating from the manufacturer — dynamic moves like drops load the pole harder than standing on it, which is why the tested figure sits well above typical body weight.
Will it wobble when I spin?
A freestanding stage flexes more than a floor-to-ceiling pole — that is physics, not a fault, and every stage on the market does it. The base weight is what controls it. Weight plates are available for this platform if you want it dead solid for drops and heavier aerial work.
How long does assembly take?
Most owners are up in 30–60 minutes the first time and a good deal faster after that. It breaks back down into its cases when you need the room back.
Where is the best place to buy the X-Pole X-Stage Lite Pro?
Direct from X-Pole is the safest route — you get the manufacturer warranty, the correct parts for your ceiling height, and genuine replacement components later. Marketplace listings for poles of this class are frequently older stock or grey imports.

Do not forget the bits that come with it

Roughly a quarter of buyers add these to the same order, and it is cheaper than a second shipment later: an extension if your ceiling is not standard height, grip aid and pole cleaner (chrome needs wiping down every session), a carry case if the pole moves rooms, and a crash mat before you start inverting.
