Before you spend the money

Do I need to drill into my ceiling for the Lupit Pole Classic G2 (Standard Lock)?
No. The Lupit Pole Classic G2 (Standard Lock) is pressure-mounted: it tensions between your floor and ceiling joist and comes down without leaving holes. You do need a solid joist above the mounting point.
Should I get 40mm or 45mm?
45mm is the far more common choice and is what most buyers pick — the extra diameter gives more surface for leg and body grips, which suits most people learning at home. 40mm suits smaller hands and anyone who grips mainly with the hands. If you train at a studio, match whatever they use so your grip transfers.
Which finish should I choose?
Chrome and stainless steel are the two that most buyers choose. Chrome gives the most grip and is the studio standard, but some people react to the nickel in it. Stainless steel is the hypoallergenic alternative with slightly less grip. Powder coat and silicone give much more grip for clothed skin and are used for wear-and-tear-free training, but they are harder work for skin grips. Brass is warmer and grippier in humid rooms.
What is the weight limit?
330 lb (149 kg). That is a tested static rating from the manufacturer — dynamic moves like drops load the pole harder than standing on it, which is why the tested figure sits well above typical body weight.
Will it damage my ceiling?
Not if it is mounted over a joist and tensioned correctly. The risk is mounting into plasterboard alone. Use a joist finder, and if your ceiling is concrete or you cannot find a joist, look at a freestanding option instead.
How long does assembly take?
Around 20–30 minutes the first time, and under 10 once you know the sequence. No step ladder needed for most ceiling heights.
Where is the best place to buy the Lupit Pole Classic G2 (Standard Lock)?
Direct from Lupit Pole is the safest route — you get the manufacturer warranty, the correct parts for your ceiling height, and genuine replacement components later. Marketplace listings for poles of this class are frequently older stock or grey imports.

Do not forget the bits that come with it

Roughly a quarter of buyers add these to the same order, and it is cheaper than a second shipment later: an extension if your ceiling is not standard height, grip aid and pole cleaner (chrome needs wiping down every session), a carry case if the pole moves rooms, and a crash mat before you start inverting.
